A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Life and Disability insurance professional to join this niche insurance provider. You’ll either be in a similar position currently or be ready for that step up in your underwriting career. You’ll receive a highly competitive remuneration as well as enjoying a position that will enable you to actively influence operations and provide support and advice directly to the GM, Member Support and across wider business units.
This role is going to provide you with daily challenges that will often require an innovative, abstract approach and you’ll also be looked to to inspire and develop a team of eight to progress and excel. Through your efforts you’ll be rewarded with valuable, long-term learning opportunities.
As mentioned you’ll work closely with the GM, Member Support and will be responsible for tasks such as providing support across the business on all matters relating to life and disability underwriting, negotiation of reassurance contracts, managing compliance across all relevant products and regulations, actively monitor and contribute to ongoing organisational change and presenting monthly board reporting information. On a team level, you’ll support and develop your reports and, in doing so, foster a positive team spirit.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you will naturally possess a proven management track record in the Life and Disability sector. In addition, extensive underwriting knowledge and well developed staff management skills are essential as are the ability to produce high quality written documentation, relationship management skills at a senior level and the personal drive to inspire a team to achieve and exceed company goals.
