CCS Disability Action is a community organisation who have provided support to disabled people and their families for over 75 years. Our purpose is to strengthen communities and provide support so people with disabilities are included in the life of their family and their community. To achieve our vision we are taking action to make Aotearoa / New Zealand a society where everyone plays their part to include all people. We are looking for one part time position (30 hours per week) to support youth and adults into tertiary education or community participation or to gain open, paid employment. This role is for a two year fixed term due to receiving funding from the Ministry of Social Development. Our Coordinator work is varied and your role is centred on supporting disabled people through this life transition. You will have an understanding of and commitment to our vision of inclusion for all people and have experience of working together effectively with youth, adults and families / whanau to achieve agreed outcomes.We would love to hear from you, if you;
  • Have a passion for the rights of disabled people and a positive proactive attitude
  • Have experience in supporting disabled people to be part of their local community
  • Have the ability to identify what needs to be done, and to organise and motivate yourself to do it
  • Want to work for a not for profit, community organisation with a clear purpose and vision
