Due to recent internal promotion an opportunity has arisen for a results orientated experienced Geologist to join the organisation in the role of Resource Geologist.

Your Role

Reporting to the Geology Manager and working as part of a busy, vibrant team you will be responsible for generating & maintaining mineral inventories and resource models. With a focus on technical excellence and innovation you will also play an active role in implementing technical improvements to the resource modeling process. Key elements of your role to include:

• Production of high quality, geologically valid JORC compliant resource models
• Ongoing development of resource estimation techniques to ensure conformity with Industry best practice
• Technical support & guidance to Mine and Exploration Geologists
• Project management responsibilities
• Technical audits of resource models
• Ensure compliance OHS systems and standards

Skills Sought

• Minimum of BSc in Geology or closely related discipline
• Working knowledge and experience of exploration and mine geology practices, absolute min of 5 years experience in Mine/Exploration geology
• In addition at least 2 years experience as Resource Geologist
• Strong understanding of geological modeling & geostatistical resource estimation methods
• Knowledge of geological and geostatistical computerised resource modeling
• Relevant understanding of QA/QC procedures, drilling and sampling practices
