We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Geologist to lead our Blackwater project exploration team at our Reefton Operation. Blackwater was the largest historical underground gold mine (740koz) in the Reefton Goldfield. Initially the primary responsibility will be the supervision of a deep (+1000m) diamond drill program as part of a major resource evaluation program. Upon completion of the Blackwater project it is expect that the successful candidate will continue to provide leadership to exploration geologists, assist with the supervision and logging of RC & diamond drill programs.
Interested applicants for this role should possess:
- A degree in Geology with post-graduate experience in exploration
- A high regard for health and safety.
- Extensive experience in planning and supervising diamond drilling programs (preferably +1000 m holes), including geological logging and sample management.
- Familiarity with mineral exploration software is desirable. Experience using MapInfo, acQuire and Micro-Mine or MineSight would be highly regarded.
- Excellent Leadership and decision making skills as well as the ability to set goals and work well both independently and as part of a team.
