New Zealands leading weekly current affairs magazine, the New Zealand Listener, is seeking an exceptional journalist to be its Deputy Editor.
The magazine has been at the forefront of political, investigative and entertainment journalism for more than 70 years, and prides itself on the quality of its writing.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced journalist to be the Editors right-hand person, managing a team of talented writers, subeditors and designers. You will know how to turn a mix of political, current affairs and lifestyle stories into a compelling publication, while also having the networks to source great stories and help drive circulation, readership and online traffic.
This role requires an individual with the ability to commission stories and manage copy flow within a deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will have experience in print media and digital planning and design, along with a proven track record of displaying sound judgment and people-management skills.
