Our client, one of Australasias top media companies, requires a senior Market Analyst to join their innovative and passionate research team.
With extensive research experience, you will be working to pro-actively assist with growing revenue and increasing market share. You will possess excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills, providing high level research insights and analysis to the wider team.
You will need to have both an analytical and creative brain as you will be expected to be able to extract, analyse and interpret research data from a range of sources (esp. Nielsen media tools), as well as providing high level presentations. You will be a team player, working to provide analytical reporting and research support to other areas of the business.
To be a success in this role you will need to possess the following:
Advanced analytical skills.
An understanding of environmental and market trends
Problem solving and decision-making.
Time and project management ability to work under pressure.
Attention to detail.
Basic financial competency budgeting, costs, margin returns etc.
Scenario modeling.
Advanced computer skills Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint including animation and custom design, Word, Photoshop, Media Databases.
Understanding of market research methodology and theory.
Familiarity with Nielsens and other market research tools.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of the media industry and marketing principles.
You will be involved in all areas of the business, from top corporate level to the sales and marketing teams, as well as gaining an understanding of a number of different media platforms.
