We are a medium sized FMCG company seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the day to day running of the production lines to ensure a high quality product is produced.
The ideal candidate is expected to:
- operate and understand process lines
- ensure high quality product is produced
- manage staff, contractors and suppliers
- improve plant efficiencies
- liaise with engineers
- minimise downtime in process lines
- implement HACCP
- follow up and troubleshoot issues
The candidate should be:
- alogic thinker
- hands-on
- able to take initiative, think outside the square
- able to work autonomously
- able to problem solve effectively
It would be a strong advantage for the candidate to have:
- people management skills – hiring / training / performance management
- engineering and mechanical knowledge
- have implemented a food safety programme
- health and safety knowledge
- been involved in business improvement projects
