Siemens (NZ) Ltd provides Network Control Room services to Wellington Electricity Lines Limited,
We have a fantastic opportunity in the Wellington Control Room for an organised and results focused person to join our team in this 24hr 7 day environment.
The full time role will be that of a Relief Operator filling in for annual leave, sickness and training.
We will also consider applications from people with less experience for a Trainee position.
Responsibilities will involve:
- Management of the Electrical Network to ensure safety
- Operating the network assets within their rated capability and to maintain security of supply
- Restoration of supply following a fault
- Validating requests to access any network asset
- Preparation of switching schedules
- Minor project work
To be successful you will possess the following:
- NZ Electrical Registration or relevant NZQA Qualification
- Understanding of the NZ Electricity Distribution Industry
- Experience with a SCADA System is preferred but not essential as training will be given
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Ability to work in a pressure environment
- MS Office skills
