Areas of research include forest pathology and entomology, weed and pest management and biological control, fire and wind research, and associated activities.Our team seeks a field work co-ordinator and technical assistant. This full time permanent position will provide technical assistance to the Forest Protection team and be responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating field trails. The successful applicant will be responsible for actively carrying out technical work including the establishment, measuring, assessment and maintenance of a wide range of trials in pest management (pathogens, insects and weeds). Some experience in management of field trials is required. Most important for this role is a reasonable level of fitness, along with flexibility, enthusiasm, practicality and good communication skills.
