Our client is New Zealands largest food manufacturer with manufacturing sites across the country. Due to the nature of the business and following a recent promotion, we are seeking an experienced Regulatory and Systems Technologist to join our clients regulatory team.
Based out of their Auckland office and reporting the Regulatory Manager for ANZ, this role will have the key responsibilities for the compliance of the companys products and labels with New Zealand and Australasian food standards.
Working individually but as part of a larger team, you will need to use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to forge trusted working relationships with colleagues across the business and with key personnel within the regulators.
In this senior role you will need to have at least 5 years of regulatory experience on top of your experience in QA, Food Technology or packaging experience. You will be a competent and confident decision maker using your technical knowledge of current standards and able to work autonomously. Your background may also come from a regulatory role within the pharmaceutical or nutraceutical sector.
To be considered you will ideally possess the following attributes:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in food science/technology or similar
- Minimum 5 years previous regulatory experience within the food, beverage, dairy or pharmaceutical industries
- Current knowledge of regulatory food and associated labeling standards
- Proven communication and organisational skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised
- Deliver results within tight deadlines
