Water Safety New Zealand (WSNZ) provides leadership for the water safety sector in New Zealand. It plays a vital role in ensuring New Zealand children develop swimming / survival skills and promoting water safety issues in the community. This role will be responsible for managing the Bay of Plenty Swim For Life initiative targeting primary school students. It will involve programme facilitation, relationship management, resource distribution, communication and administration skills. The Water Safety Advisor will develop relationships in the learn to swim sector, facilitate and support primary schools to deliver quality learn to swim and survive education. It will further work to increase participation in quality aquatic activities, for the region.This role requires a person with skills:Administration;Event coordination;Relationship management;Computer literacy.You will have a positive attitude and be solution focused with in ability to set and meet goals. Further more you will have some familiarity with the learn to swim sector, including having a strong technical and practical level of expertise with regard to teaching swim and survive programmes.You will be working with an innovative, community focused and professional organisation.
