With a focus on Customer Analytics and Management Reporting, act as the link between Finance and the Business.We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our team in Auckland. You will be responsible for developing and delivering timely, accurate analysis with a view to achieving our strategic priorities.Your deliverables will be:
- Solving complex problems using strong analytical skills and effectively communicating findings in a clear and simple manner to various levels of the organisation including senior management
- Reconciling, manipulating and analysing large amounts of data from multiple systems and building reporting around key business drivers
- Providing reporting and analysis around business performance for our Institutional and Commercial business, in particular customer profitability and growth
- Building strong relationships with customer facing managers and helping them gain greater understanding of their financial performance through one to one support and training
- Using financial modelling to build scenarios analysis
- Automating routine processes to create capacity for value added services
- Developing and maintaining integrity and credibility of business information.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in building/management of MIS reporting
- Experience in analysing financial performance
- Strong excel spread sheeting skills (able to combine the use of pivot tables with a range of excel formulae)
- VBA/macro beneficial but not a pre-requisite
- Solid understanding of basic accounting/mathematical principles
- The ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms
- A relevant qualification and/or practical work experience is required.
