Our client is seeking an experienced person to join their team in this newly developed role.
The main specifics of this role include:
*Inspecting and measuring materials coming in and seeing if they meet the clients’ specification, in particular packaging components.
*Develop procedures and Standard Operating Procedures for inspection and sampling plans
*Reporting results with the use of statistical references – 3 standard deviations etc.
*Management of non-conforming material
*Perform some level of supplier auditing.
*Quality Improvement – implementing the reduction in downtime and reject material.
Skills & Experience required:
- Strong understanding of excel & Statistics
- Knowledge in packaging materials for the food industry
- Knowledge of SAP (preferable)
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma/5S (preferable)
- Experience on a production line
Essential to your success in this new position you must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written to all management levels as you will be liaising with manufacturing, purchasing and planning departments on a regular basis.
Depending on the success of this role will result in the potential of it being extended.
$55K – $65K depending on experience.
