We are committed to providing opportunities for individual growth and we encourage and provide assistance for staff to seek educational opportunities, both within the service and at tertiary institutions.Te Whetu Tawera, ADHB‘s Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit, is a 58 bedded unit, in a modern purpose built facility, situated at Auckland City Hospital site in Grafton. Te Whetu Tawera comprises two open wards and an intensive care ward. These serve both adult male and female Service Users/Tangata Whaiora.We are located next to the beautiful Auckland City Domain, which is a wonderful place to have lunch. We are close to the scenic harbour and the City Centre, and have stunning views of both from the unit. There is immediate access to all the major Motorways – North, South and West bound to make getting to and from work easy. Improved public transport is also an asset.As a Mental Health nurse, you will already be dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives, so now is your chance to join us in embracing new ideas and delivering with heart and promise.We have multiple positions available. These arefull time, fully rostered shifts (40hr/week), workingMonday to Sunday.
We welcome interest for 3-6 month fixed term within Acute Inpatient Unit. Registration with NZ Nursing Council as an RN (comp) with PG cert in Mental Health and/or experience in MH speciality, or RPN, and acurrent Practising Certificate are essential.
