General Description of Full Time Role
Primary point of contact for NZDF for operational requirements basis
Liaise internally with Head Office regarding NZDF contract requirements, movements & updates
Coordinate ship visits including assisting Purchasing Manager with quotations, ordering and deliveries
Relationship building with clients
Work closely with head Office on all business activities
Build business in region or area of responsibility, eg Army or Air Force
Develop new markets with existing and non-existing clients through network of contacts while in Domestic & International Ports, eg Port Authorities, Defence Attaches
Build business with Joint Forces New Zealand Defence
Available on on call as needed basis
Maintain relationships with suppliers & clients
Assist in the completion of tender documents as requested by management
General Administration duties as required
Manage & coordinate additional RCI staff members if & when required to assist in the execution of Port visits
Travel extensively to & as required to service clients in any port of call
Any other duties as requested from time to time
Assist when & if required to support other operational requirements within RCI business units
Youwill report tothe General Manager of Operations.
Experience requirements:
Sound knowledge of shipping, food service, distribution and/or logistics
Reasonable understanding of purchasing and warehousing stores
Experience in Sales or Marketing an advantage
Sound knowledge of systems implementation within working environments
Sound knowledge of administration procedures
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
