Our Auckland Support Office is looking for a passionate Payroll guru. In this role you will be responsible for monthly retainer and incentive pay runs, the maintenance and updating of staff data, updating of leave and financial reporting.
The position:You will be working ona payroll across New Zealand, totalling almost1000 employees.Utilising your extensive payroll knowledge you will be the support in all facets of full function payroll. This willinclude ensuring that the company’s weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls is processed in an accurate and timely manner.
You will be responsible for all payroll tax matters including end of month and end of year reconciliations and will be the person in charge of all payroll verifications. As well as this you will be a ‘go to’ person for the team of2 payroll officers.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of the monthly payroll for NZ employees
  • Establishment of new employees, employee data, codes and reports
  • Administer payroll changes employee transfers, Updating employee database
  • Maintenance of all employee leave and personnel data.
  • Assisting with month end reconciliations
  • Coordination of termination paperwork
  • Final payment calculations
  • Investigating enquiries from our staff in a timely manner.
  • Performing ad hoc tasks in support of the Human Resource and Finance departments, including ad-hoc reporting as requested by management and office managers
  • Keep informed of changes in IRD legislation that apply to the payroll process
Do you have the expertise and proven success in the following areas?
This role requires a candidate with a strong work ethic and the ability to get things done.You will be a goodcommunicator with ideally2+ years experience in a payroll role. .
To be successful in this commanding role experience of a large payroll system with high volume will be beneficial, along with having a working knowledge, demonstrated ability of Payroll process, procedures, legislative requirements, a strong understanding of NZ Employment Law & Payroll related tax, workplace relations and regulation and payroll requirements
Furthermore you will have a high level of accuracy and numerical ability and attention to detail together with outstanding time management skills.
