Fixed term (2 years), Full time position Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is situated in New Zealands largest city. We provide career challenges and developments as well as the opportunity of the location in a modern metropolitan city.As part of one of AUTs research institutes the Centre of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (CAMTEC) conducts leading research in the areas of welding, casting, metal-forming, machining, and powder metallurgy. It houses a number of academics and postgraduate students. The research is funded externally as well as internally and the results are shared with the local industry and international community.A vacancy exists within the Centre for a Research Fellow to undertake original research relating to manufacturing technologies, to disseminate new knowledge of manufacturing technologies and to advance the research profile of the centre.The successful candidate will hold a postgraduate qualification in engineering preferably a PhD and will be strong in mechanical engineering, computational analysis and material science.You must be eligible to work in NZ to be considered for this positionSalary range on offer: a maximum of $63,495 p.a.AUT University is an EEO employer; committed to the Treaty of Waitangi and to equity.
