This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious young systems engineer to join a leading global manufacturer and service provider of telecommunication, computer and electronic devices. The main aim of the role is to provide maintenance and administration services for one of the organisations primary customers with the objective of delivering world class service.
In this role your duties will include resolution of logged incidents within agreed SLA timeframes, logging and updating all incidents and asset configuration changes, implementing or upgrading system software and hardware as required, and managing the creation and updating of system knowledge bases. Youll be expected to respond to customer requests for support and administration related matters in a timely manner and maintain a professional, courteous and helpful attitude at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008 and Linux/Unix OS, Oracle database experience, and knowledge of Data backup solutions and storage and server hardware. Networking trouble shooting and TCP/IP knowledge would also be an advantage.
