The Department of Corrections enforces the sentences and orders of the criminal courts and parole board. Corrections improves public safety by ensuring sentence compliance and works to reduce re-offending by providing offenders with rehabilitation programmes, education and job training.
We are looking for a confident, results orientated, Human Resources Professional to be part of the Southern Regional OD team. This is an exciting role where no two days are the same. Significant Human Resource experience, including problem solving and operational service provision in a complex environment is essential. As the successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills that result in the building of effective working relationships.
You will also have:
- Strong employment relations skills and demonstrated knowledge/application of sound employment law principles.
- A proven ability to develop, foster and maintain excellent working partnerships with stakeholders and management at all levels.
- Robust senior level experience delivering operational human resource services effectively and efficiently in a challenging environment.
- Ability to work independently but also be a key player in the regional organisational development team.
- A proactive approach that enables the successful management of people issues supported by the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
As a Senior Adviser you will play a pivotal role in delivering human resource initiatives that support the successful achievement of the organisational development work programme.
