Currently covering, among other services, building surveying, project management, cladding reports, architecture and energy audits, it is currently one of New Zealands premier multi-disciplinary building consultancies.In the wake of the Christchurch earthquake the demand for earthquake proofing and structural assessments on existing buildings is becoming more and more prevalent in Auckland.This company currently outsources its structural engineers but, given the recent surge in demand for this service, are looking to employ a Senior Structural Engineer so that they can offer this service internally.The role will involve recladding engineering on non-NZ3604 schools and large commercial work, commercial due diligence and initial evaluation processing. Therefore there will be no design work for new buildings involved.Youll be initially operating as the sole structural engineer within the company so there will be an expectancy to generate work and secure potential opportunities. Youll have the opportunity to develop your own team of structural engineers which can grow as quickly and to as large a number as the work you generate permits. In other words, its in your hands.As an established structural engineer youll be a member of IPENZ and have around 15-20 years experience.
