Shinagawa Refractories Australasia is the leading manufacturer and supplier of refractory products and services throughout Australasia and South East Asia. Continued demand has created an exceptional opportunity for an innovative and results orientated Sales Manager.
Based in Hamilton or Auckland and reporting to Australia, you will be responsible for an existing customer base while growing the revenue, profitability and market share of the business. You will be working closely with major customers, identifying opportunities and providing solutions within the steel and other industrial sectors. Your ability to provide installation support, design analysis, trial monitoring and accurate reporting will be essential to the role.
Ideally you will possess:
- A successful track-record in technical sales / account management
- Qualification in Material Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry or Engineering.
- Broad knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing operations
- Steelmaking or refractory knowledge/experience an advantage.
- Openness to travel
Critical to your success will be your ability to work autonomously, take responsibility and be self managed. Preference for technical expertise and hands on experience within the steel industry or industrial – high heat product processing industry will give you the ability to learn and adapt to the clients needs. Plant location is in the Huntly area but please note you will not have to work from this site on a daily basis.
