Professional Learning and DevelopmentRegional Education and Performance (Four positions)Three Year Fixed Term AppointmentWe are looking for experienced Project Leaders to co-ordinate, plan and implement the professional learning and development (PLD) for English-medium and Maori-medium schools.You will manage a cycle of programme planning, information gathering to prioritise and allocate PLD resource across one of the Ministry‘s four regions (Northern, Central North, Central South and Southern).You will be responsible for monitoring the impact of PLD on student outcomes.As Project Leader you will also be responsible for working closely with the National Operations Manager, Education and Curriculum Performance Managers in each of the regions, national office PLD operations team and to build strategic relationships with PLD providers at the regional level.Among the skills you will bring are:

  • The ability to ensure PLD is aligned to the regional plan and national strategy to maintain a focus on ensuring success for Maori learners, Pasifika learners, and students with special needs.
  • *n-depth understanding of factors influencing education performance and student achievement and participation, ideally with currency in curriculum delivery and assessment.
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills and the ability to work with data to determine needs, priorities and results.
  • Experience in developing and implementing projects and in contract management.
