We are a flourishing company where everyone is approachable, friendly and ready and willing to lend a hand.The Revera Network and Security team is seeking another experienced specialist to assist them in BAU and take ownership of the network team‘s supporting systems. While it’s a technical role, we’re seeking someone to assist as needed in a 2IC capacity to assist the National Manager in the management of the team.The key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Manage BAU Service Desk queue, aid in projects (firewalls, routers, switches) to deliver BAU and projects in line with the customer SLAs
  • Manage day to day SLA deliveries on BAU tasks and control work flow
  • Monitor, manage, maintain and develop networking support systems (monitoring, reporting, alerting, licensing systems)
  • Assist the National Manager in a 2IC capacity

The key skills required for this role include:

  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Proven networking experience of at least 4-5+ years
  • A solid (basic) understanding of routing, switching and security technologies is required, including VLAN’s, VPN’s, MPLS, BGP, dynamic routing protocols, management systems, SNMP, subnetting etc is a must
  • An aptitude for servers and applications running on them is a must to support the network team’s many systems and software
  • Experience configuring, managing and troubleshooting routers, switches, VPN’s, firewall rules, remote access. Any experience with ISA, Exchange, Anti Spam and SSL VPN’s is a bonus
  • An excellent track record in client service is required
  • Knowledge of Cisco products & technologies, networking technologies (l2 and l3 protocols) and security awareness
  • Be a fast learner and be able to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
