In our regulatory team, we have created a specialist role that is designed to be our technical expert providing leadership, professional and technical advice to staff, council, the community and development industry.Building on your significant knowledge of the RMA and experience in planning and resource management in a consenting role, this is a great opportunity to be involved in a diverse portfolio that includes all aspects of consenting.This role has a strong emphasis on coaching and mentoring to develop our team, so previous experience in managing people or formal coaching would be invaluable.Your ability to interpret legislation as well as your confidence in communicating and working across a diverse range of stakeholders will be key to your success.You’ll have a tertiary qualification in planning or resource management, with at least 10 years proven experience in these areas, and be a full member if the NZ Planning Institute.It’s a great time to join this council and make your mark.
