This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic market analyst, preferably with 1-3 years’ telecommunications industry experience in business strategy, market research, competitive intelligence, enterprise solutions or regulatory policy.The successful individual will combine strategic and competitive analysis with expertise in data models and great written/presentation skills. They must possess the maturity to engage with executive and senior management teams and will possess demonstrable client relationship skills. This is a great opportunity to build your profile as an independent thought-leader in this exciting, fast-moving sector.This is the position for you if you can: Engage with service providers, suppliers, vendors and industry bodies in New Zealand and, where relevant, internationally. Prepare clearly articulated, well-researched and credible market reports and commentary, using a mix of both primary research and secondary sources. Present market research & expertise to clients at internal and external events. Assist in the identification, scoping and delivery of consultancy projects. Manage and support client inquiries. Build relationships and opportunities with Telecom service providers, carriers and vendors locally and globally through teleconferences, on-site briefings and travel to major industry events. Working closely with international analysts and sales teams. Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, with a good understanding of technology trends and the underlying competitive and regulatory telecommunications environment. Show initiative, working both independently and as part of a team, consistently managing and meeting deadlines and communicating information both internally and to clients.
