Can you keep cool if theres trouble in the pool?POOL LIFEGUARDSTauranga City Aquatics Limited are offering the exciting opportunity for qualified lifeguards to join the TCAL team. These positions will be based across the five aquatic and leisure centres operated by TCAL within the sunny Bay of Plenty.As a Lifeguard you will ensure the health and safety of customers is maintained through actively supervising all activities within the facility. You will also; provide information to the public on the facilities, programmes and services available, perform various water tests, complete relevant administrative tasks, and carry out any cleaning duties as required.To be successful, you will:
- Have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time,
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with staff and customers,
- Be proactive and remain calm during an emergency,
- Be committed to their position and reliable,
- Hold a current Comprehensive First Aid Certificate (essential)
- Hold a National Pool Lifeguard Award (NPLA) or the Practicing Certificate (Skills Active- replaced NPLA as of the 1st July 2011) equivalent.
