The Defence Security Division is seeking to recruit a Supervisor Security Operations to supervise the Wellington Defence Sites Security and protection functions and staffing to ensure a timely and effective high quality security and protective service, primarily by providing day to day operational supervision of the security guard force and management of the 24/7 roster. This position is primarily based in Porirua.To be considered for this role it is preferred that you will have significant experience in operating within a secure environment, and staff leadership and supervisory experience. You will hold a NZ National Certificate of Educational Achievement (Level 2) or comparable qualification in the minimum level of secondary education, a current First Aid Certificate, and a Class 1 NZ Driver Licence. Applicants with a National Certificate in Security or comparable qualification will be highly regarded.To be successful in this role you will have sound knowledge of the New Zealand Defence Force, a strong understanding of the operational and protection function, preferably in the New Zealand Public/State Sector context, and the ability to write clear, concise reports.
