We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and experienced counsellor with an interest in e-learning. Would you enjoy using your expertise to teach and motivate others into this vital profession? BTI would like to hear from you in relation to our vacancy for a:
Size of role negotiable between 0.5 and 0.8.
You would have online and face to face tutoring responsibilities, a pastoral care role and you would assist with students on practicum locally and at a distance.
You will need to be a member of a professional association, hold at least a Bachelors qualification in either counselling or social work, and a fit with and ability to contribute to the Christian special character of BTI. You would ideally have some experience of either online teaching OR learning.
Bethlehem Tertiary Institute is registered, approved and accredited with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority for degrees in teaching, counselling and social work.

COUNSELLING TUTOR
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
1. Carry out all responsibilities in a way which reflects and is congruent with the Institutes Christian ethos and mission.
2. Meet the needs of students by providing inspiring and innovative learning opportunities that develop knowledge (heart), capabilities (hands) and values (heart), and contributes to the development of students in keeping with BTIs graduate profile.
3. Observe all Institute policies and procedures and ensure the appropriate use of Institute assets and student/government funds.

The exact size of the role is negotiable and could be as little as one of these courses or a grouping of these responsibilities up to a 0.8 position.
