Our client provides sustainable fertiliser solutions to the rural sector. With a focus on biological farming methods, their vision is to lead the way in improving the productivity of farmland and the nutritional value of food produced through operations in New Zealand and internationally – while not only preserving but also enhancing the environment. Their team uses a range of comprehensive tests in conjunction with field observations to create detailed fertiliser programmes. This innovative company is in an exciting period of expansion throughout New Zealand, and now requires an experienced rural Sales Manager to lead the growing South Island team.
Your core focus will be leading a team of on-farm Technical Sales Consultants located across the mid-lower South Island. Increasing market share of the company across the South Island with a view to developing new opportunities will be your responsibility. It will be up to you to ensure that your team is delivering top-level service in order to achieve the growth aspirations of this entrepreneurial business.
It is essential that you have significant experience in Sales Management and business development within the New Zealand rural sector. You will be an excellent communicator and have a proven track record leading a team of on-farm Sales Consultants effectively. A tertiary qualification in Agriculture is preferable; regardless, you will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of soil science and analysis. A high level of computer literacy is required due to the complexity of the software utilised by this company.
