This position is based at a major coal mining operation producing 2mt.p.a of high quality coking coal for the steel-making industry, utilising truck and shovel techniques. You will work amongst a team of proven professionals in the technical services department, growing and developing with a combination of technical support, state of the art facilities and equipment, training, and hands on experience. As you progress, you will become experienced in a variety of mining engineering responsibilities, including:
- Mine design including pit, waste dumps and ramps
- Drill and Blast design
- Production planning and scheduling
- Contractor liaison and management
- Short to long term mine planning
The following will be essential to be considered for one of these attractive roles:
- BEng – Mining
- Proven experience in the mine industry (either coal/metals, open cut/underground)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Outgoing personality and enthusiasm
