Te Tari Puna Ora o Aotearoa/New Zealand Childcare Association (NZCA) is a dynamic bicultural organisation, delivering high quality early childhood teacher education including the Bachelor of Teaching (ECE), across New Zealand. This is a new academic leadership position that has oversight of the degree cohorts. We are seeking a person who can make a strong contribution to achieving NZCAs vision for student success.
You will work closely with the Student Services Team to ensure that selection and enrolment processes are of a high standard and meet New Zealand Teachers Council expectations. You will provide academic leadership based on a sound understanding of the theory and research underpinning tertiary education and be responsible for learning support and mentoring programmes.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven academic leadership and management skills in the tertiary sector
- Strong experience in implementing quality management systems
- The ability to generate, read and analyse student data
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships
- Experience in developing tertiary programmes, learning support and mentoring
- High commitment to Maori student success
- Masters degree in education or relevant discipline
