My client is a leading, international supplier of electrical and electronic products to the power, energyand mining sectors. They pride themselves on providing superior products and service to all their market sectors, including Heavy Industry, Mining, Mineral Processing & Refining, Power Generation & Distribution, Traction, Defence and Oil & Gas.
They are looking for an innovative Production Engineer with Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical qualificationsto help them with the comprehensive re-design of their medium voltage manufacturing facility in Rotorua. The re-design will include new equipment, new processes and new techniques for manufacturing optimization.
Other tasks involve medium voltage modular power factor design, Neutral Earth Resistor design and supervision of their manufacture.
Experience required for the role:
- Medium voltage electrical design.
- Experience in heavy manufacturing industries such the pulp and paper, dairy, or power is a definite advantage.
- Project Management and sub-contractor management.
- Experience with CAD such as AutoCAD 10 and/or SolidWorks.
- Engineer level experience for a minimum of 10 years.
Requirements:
- An Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics degree or NZCE (New Zealand Certificate in Engineering).
- Knowledge of medium volt power factor is an advantage.
- Safety and quality awareness.
- A team player, able to communicate at all levels.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A current Drivers License
