Border Security Specialist

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Border Security Specialist to join their growing projects team. The ideal Candidate will need to be highlyexperienced working as a Border Security Specialist.

The role:

• Network Security management
• Manage changes to customers network security
• Provide Technical expertise of existing security
• Keep Abreast of Current Technologies
• Security policies and standards
• After hours 24×7 support on a rostered schedule

To be considered for this role you must:

• Relevant experience in the IT Industry, specifically proven experience with either Security or Systems management
• Proven skills and experience in network configuration (routers, switches, hubs etc), and sound understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP etc)
• Relevant experience in Network Security toolsets. (see qualifications below)
• Relevant experience in UNIX systems admin or support.
• Knowledge of information and computer security principles, procedures and practices. The ability to identify potential security exposures, and develop controls to mitigate these.
• IT knowledge and tertiary qualification
• CCSE/CCSA Checkpoint Certified.
• IT security experience and knowledge of the banking environment is desirable but not necessary.
