Wireplus Ltd is one of New Zealands leading manufacturers of reinforcing products and nails and enjoys significant market share with its range of high quality products and customer service.As part of Wireplus on-going commitment to producing and developing quality products, we have a vacancy for aProduction Technician. This role would ideally suit someone with a mechanical background with experience in QC inspection/quality and skills in mechanical measurement and production processes. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Computer skills in Excel. Word and some ERP experience
- Good mechanical aptitude with a hands on involvement in solving problems
- Familiar with quality control and management processes, ethics and principals
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 would be an advantage
- Methodical work habit to process and document production and quality reports
- Knowledge and experience of the LEAN principles will be an advantage
As well as the above, the successful applicant will have good administration skills and with a positive work attitude, be detail focussed with excellent communication skills, and possess the ability to work to priorities and deadlines and, above all, a willing, can-do attitude to work as part of a team.
