NZX has an opening in it’s Wellington office for an Accountant to join our Finance Team.We are looking for the right person to join the team on a permanent basis, in order to ensure reporting requirements are met and all work is completed to a high standard.The Finance team, made up of approximately nine staff, uses Technology One / Finance One as their finance package.Key Requirements:- Accounting degree. CA/CPA, or working towards a similar qualification would be an advantage, but not necessary.- Knowledge of FMIS systems and interfaces. Experience with Tech One/Finance One would be a definite advantage.- At least two years financial accounting / management accounting experience, including preparation of annual reports, month end account preparation and / or consolidation.- Attention to detail and be highly organised. – Curious about NZX business and willing to ask and learn. – Ability to interpret a range of data and spot trends and anomalies.Key Responsibilities:- Lead month end process for a portfolio of companies; including – Preparation of month end accounts – Month end processing of journals – Balance sheet reconciliations- Bank reconciliations – Billing and credit collection. – Accounts Receivable support. – Back up for Accounts Payable role. – Ad hoc reconciliations. – Assistance with forecasting. – Assistance with analysis of financial information prepared. – Any other duties assigned by Senior Accountants and Head of Finance.What it’s like at NZX:Located right on the waterfront in central Wellington, NZX is within easy walking distance of public transport and the city’s cultural hub.
